Hurricane Lisa

November 2, 2022 Belize was hit by a category 1 Hurricane. Belize City and a few other towns got hit hard.

We have heard from Pastor Evans that there are 4 churches that received damage to their roof, thus needing replacement.

We have also heard of a pastor’s home that was severely damaged (see picture below), and even Pastor’s sister-in-law incurred a lot of damage from flooding. We would love to help provide funds for these roofs to be replaced, and help with relief.

How can you help?

The biggest, and most practical need is funds. The US dollar is doubled in Belize, so your dollar goes so far. Each church roof is going to cost approx. $9,000 BZD ($4,500 USD). The roof for the pastor’s house may be half of that. There are appliances that need replacing and more.

If you’d like to donate to the Hurricane Disaster relief fund, use the link above and fill out the form (select Belize, then “Hurricane Relief” from the dropdown menu.

All donations are tax deductible, and 100% of the funds will go to hurricane relief.
